How to create my first map

In EreaDrone, anyone can create their own maps and tracks with the help of the in-game map editor.

To start creating your first map, launch EreaDrone and, in the main menu, select Map Editor.

It will ask you to choose a name, an environment and a type.

Name

The name of your map can be anything. It is recommended to choose a name that accurately describes your map. For example, if it reproduces a real-life place or event, you can use the name of the source.

You can rename your map any time, even after publishing.

Environment

The environment is the base of your map. You can imagine it as your base canvas for your creation. All maps in EreaDrone are built on top of one of the 18 different environments listed here: https://ereadrone.com/play#environments

Once the map is created, you cannot change its environment as it is permanently linked to it.

Type

The map type defines the gameplay of your map. The Race type will have track elements, checkpoints, and a leaderboard. The Freestyle type will not have any racing features. And finally, the Challenge type is for creating a map where you will be able to set an against-the-clock or no-crash-no-touch challenge.

Once you press Create, you will enter the Map Editor mode of EreaDrone. Happy creating!
