How to improve performances (FPS)?
EreaDrone is continuously optimised, ensuring all pilots can fly comfortably in the simulator. However, on some computers, you may encounter performance issues.
1 - Make sure your computer meets the required configuration
First, make sure your computer meets at least the requirements:
| Minimum configuration | Recommended configuration |
|
|
2 - Reduce graphics settings
EreaDrone offers multiple quality presets in the graphics settings. You can try to decrease them little by little until the performances meet your requirements.
You can access the graphics settings: Press Escape, then Options, and select the Graphics tab.
You can also tweak these settings:
- Disable Motion blur
- Decrease Shadow Distance
- Disable Volumetric Lighting
- Disable Volumetric Cloud
- Disable Fog
- Disable Distance Blur
- Disable Ambient Occlusion
- Disable Bloom
- Disable Depth of Field
- Disable Planar Reflection
- Disable Foliage
- Change Antialiasing to FXAA or none
Still feeling frame stutters?
While you may have high FPS, it may happen that the game feels stuttery. This is caused by extremely short FPS drops (dropping from 240 to 180, for example). This will make the game feel unstable.
A second cause of the stutters can be screen tearing. Some monitors have syncing technologies such as Nvidia GSync or AMD FreeSync. Or you can also enable the VSync option, compatible with all monitors. This option will sync the framerate to the screen, at 60FPS, fixing all screen tearing.
3 - Last tricks
If EreaDrone is still having low framerates, check if your computer has any demanding processes working in the background. You can also raise EreaDrone's task priority with the Task Manager.
Other factors may also cause framerate issues, such as overclocking and outdated drivers. Make sure your graphics card driver is updated.
